The Prima 200 violin outfit features solid tonewoods throughout, and genuine ebony pegs and fingerboard. The violin is finished in a very pleasing "amber" varnish, applied much more sparingly than with most student violins! This allows greater resonance, and this is one reason why the Prima 200 has such a good sound. The quality bridge and sound post help too.
The outfit includes a strong lightweight case, and a good quality student bow. Highly recommended - especially at this price! A string upgrade is particularly worthwhile on this model, as it has the potential to produce a very pleasing tone.
The violin has a hand carved maple and spruce body with inlaid purfling, ebony fingerboard and top nut and a Teka model chin rest.
The Prima 200 case is hard wearing and lightweight, with a full length music pocket and protective blanket. Completing the outfit is a hardwood octagonal bow with ebony frog.
